What this is
Every current enchant for every slot is simmed on each spec's default SimulationCraft profile and ranked by how much DPS it adds over leaving the slot unenchanted. Only that one slot changes between runs, so the gap between two rows is down to the enchant alone.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate are these enchant rankings?
They hold up well for the gear they were simmed on. Each enchant gets 50,000 iterations, which keeps the error on each result under 0.5% (see Methodology below). On your own character the order can shift a little, since your gear and talents differ from the baseline.
What gear is the baseline?
SimulationCraft's default profile for the spec at current-season item level, with every other slot geared and enchanted. Each ranking swaps only the slot being tested. Talents, gems and consumables follow SimC's latest defaults each week.
Why is there one panel for Rings instead of two?
Both rings take the same enchants and gain the same DPS from them, so one Rings panel covers both. Put the top pick on both rings.
Are embellishments included?
No. Embellishments come with crafted gear and aren't enchants, so they aren't ranked here. Pair these enchant picks with whatever embellishments your build already uses.
How often is the leaderboard updated?
Every Sunday, after the weekly SimulationCraft update. Each spec page shows the SimC build and the date its numbers come from.
Why isn't my spec listed?
Every spec has a page, and healer boards rank by HPS instead of DPS. If a spec's page says the board is refreshing, SimulationCraft doesn't have a working profile for it yet or this week's run hasn't finished.
Can I sim my own character?
Yes. Paste your /simc string on the homepage. The sim uses your own gear, talents and current enchants, and ranks the upgrades in your bags.
